Ideological Sustainability: Culture, Identity and Emotion
Bandana Tewari is a lifestyle journalist and sustainability activist. As Vogue India’s Editor-at-Large for 13 years, Bandana had a ringside view of the rapidly evolving fashion industry and the subcontinent’s role in the global sphere. Now based in Ubud, she is a columnist for The Business of Fashion, writing extensively on a variety of topics, but most notably about the indigenous “made-by-hand” economies of India and Indonesia.
Her signature ability to take the long view in every commentary has seen her travel the world to speak at conferences about mindfulness in the luxury business, with a special focus on Gandhi and fashion—a speech that focuses on sartorial integrity. For Future Vision #006 Bandana will dive into ideological sustainability, and how we can move forward by personalising the sustainability narrative.
