Biodynamic Osteopathy
A self-adjustment class to align the spine, joints & nervous system
Where physical therapy meets exploration to unwind the “cell-f!” In this class, 22+ year experienced practitioner as seen in Massage Magazine, Carey Benenson, Master Osteopath, will guide the group to align the body from tooth to toe by guiding visceral lengthening techniques, fascial streaming movements & nervous system rewiring exercises inspired by traditional and modern Osteopathic principles as well as oceanic body movement to music. Participants will experience moments of self-correction of the posture/body, mind, and spirit while flossing their spines to hydrate the discs and the nervous system. Slow yet intense stretches and integrative movement will be to explored allowing participants to get taller, freer in their bodies, with lasting results!
Good for all levels. Excellent for people who feel like they need a spinal adjustment, would like to enhance their movement practices and/or those who are dealing with chronic discomfort, stress & misalignment in the muscular skeletal body or in any of the 5 major systems: head/mood/hormones (nervous system,) heart/lungs (cardiorespiratory,) digestion (gastrointestinal,) pelvis and kidneys (urogenital,) and immune boosting (lymphatic system.)
Restorative and dynamic! Beneficial also for people who may not be struggling with pain but who are seeking to improve and maximize their movement practices as they learn movements & anatomical references that teach them how to lengthen or deepen their poses.
Nervous system reprogramming practices & guided craniosacral holds are applied to help the brain find a sense of ease and belonging through journeying & rewiring with the anatomy through moving & still meditation. This slow to still movement meditation known as allbodypoetry™ stimulates a soothing inner alchemy that aims to support the true nature of the family line, the immune system, and the full self like the old renaissance masters who recognised the full person as being important in supporting health.
All based on traditional osteopathic principles and according to the three anatomies of the Three Bodies Method™. You will learn techniques to take home! The theory of this course will be outlined in a slide show presentation backed by science to support the idea that knowledge stimulates greater healing potential. This is also an optional touch class as sometimes the facilitator applies soft alignment work.
