EMBRACING NYEPI

Nyepi is the traditional Balinese Hindu holiday of silence, introspection and meditation.

It marks the beginning of the Balinese New Year and locals honour this tradition by having 24hrs of enforced inactivity, limited use of lights and minimal noise.

As the whole of the island is effectively shut for 24hrs and you are not allowed to leave your residency, it is the perfect opportunity to retreat and bond with others.

During the retreat we like to pay our respects and honour this Balinese tradition.

For the Nyepi day, March 11th, we will have more restful, meditative and quiet activities, to find deeper more meaningful connections with ourselves and each other.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each day will start with Intelligent movement session and prehab exercises to give your mind and body a great start to the day.

After a tasty breakfast you can enjoy an acro workshop followed by an open acro jam to try out what you learned or just play more with others!

After a long lunch break there will be more acro content for you to learn, or plus another opportunity to jam more or just chill before dinner.

Lastly in the evenings there will be fun and relaxed group activities like connection games and time to just socialise and enjoy.

And you can of course choose to relax and rest instead of an activity, and go at your own pace during the retreat as you prefer.

YOUR RETREAT HOSTS

Ksenia has been living in Bali for 4 years and has been teaching acroyoga classes, retreats and workshops for the past 3 years. She loves introducing acro yoga into people's lives and seeing how they grow from the practice. Ksenia teaches with an emphasis on precision and safety. Her fun and friendly nature helps students feel comfortable and welcomed. She loves teaching smooth flows in new, exciting ways and keeps students inspired to improve.

Natalia and Joshua, also known as @acro_nerds, are a couple who travel the world sharing themselves and the things they love. A big part of that is Acro and everything that comes along with it. Their practice includes (but is not limited to): nerding out over technique, hands free transitions, fancy foot work, spinny ballerina type things, pops, icarian, whips, handstands, consent & communication (they teach workshops about it), cuddle parties and anything that takes their interest. Their acro philosophy is based on their intention to make acro an exercise in effortlessness. Whether it is flips, whips, pops or hands free transitions, they emphasize smooth execution and impeccable technique. What does all this mean? It means they want to make acro feel good and look easy.

ACRO CONTENT AND LEVEL

This retreat is for beginners and intermediate levels. You'll learn creative flows, washing machines, transitions, and other skills. It will be suitable for beginners and will provide numerous options for intermediates. If you already have some experience, you'll be able to develop and improve your acro practice further.

If you have never practiced acro before It's perfectly fine, but for your maximum enjoyment, we recommend taking at least one acro class before the retreat. It will provide a supportive and progressive environment to learn and take your first steps in acroyoga.

This retreat is community-focused, so no matter which skill you have, you'll enjoy good vibes, acro fun, and connections with people.
