Prepare to be mesmerized by an extraordinary classical music event, 'Bach & Beyond' presented by Bali Chamber Music Players  a group of dedicated professional classical musicians, talented students and teachers based in Bali. They will be joined by featured guest artists and ensembles.

Edith Widayani (harpsichord) hailed as one of the most accomplished pianists in Indonesia, Dr. Edith Widayani has established herself as a performing soloist, chamber musician and music educator with appearances in North, South and Central America as well as Europe and Asia. 

Ryan Rianto (flute) who graduated in a Masters in Music from West Virginia University USA under the tutelage of Nina Assimakopoulos. He is currently actively performing  in Jakarta with the JakFlute Ensemble, Jakarta Simfonia Orchestra and Jakarta Sinfonietta. 

Shienny Kurniawati (violin) is co-founder of the renowned String Orchestra of Surabaya. She in a graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and has used her talents as a violinist and educator to make significant contributions to the classical music scene in Indonesia.  

Special Spotlight: The Majestic Harpsichord

The evening will shine a special spotlight on the historic and captivating sounds of the harpsichord, an instrument that harkens back to the splendor of the Baroque era; a first for Bali audiences!

Repertoire Beyond Compare

The diverse concert program starts with the intricate masterpieces of J.S. Bach culminating in J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. In the second half of the program we transcend geographical boundaries with Bartok's Romanian Dances and delve into the contemporary resonance of 'Asphyxia' by Nicole Chamberlain. Experience the simple beauty of John Rutter's 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' and other repertoire performed by the enchanting voices of the Bali Children and Teens Choir.
