Chamber Music Bali Festival

Welcome to the inaugural Chamber Music Bali Festival! Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Bali, this festival brings together performing artists and students from across Southeast Asia for a unique celebration of music, learning, and collaboration. This 4-day event offers an array of masterclasses, rehearsals, and performances designed to foster musical growth and community spirit.  Join us for the Opening Night Gala Concert, or the Closing Concert - or both!!

Opening Night Gala Concert - November 27 @ 6pm @ MT AGUNG

Kick off the festival with a spectacular evening of music and artistry! The festival faculty take the stage to perform timeless works by Glazunov and Smetana, alongside contemporary gems by Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin and Indonesia’s own Marisa Sharon Hartanto. Adding to the excitement, Bali’s renowned Chameleon Ensemble presents an eclectic program of dance-inspired pieces, from the elegant charm of Tchaikovsky to the passionate tangos of South America.

Festival Closing Concert - Closing December 1st @ 5pm @ Plumeria

Celebrate the grand finale of the festival with a heartwarming showcase of talent and collaboration! This special concert features young festival participants who have spent the week immersed in the classics of chamber music, honing their craft and passion. Joining them are students from Bali Suzuki and the inspiring B# (Be Sharp) program, a remarkable community initiative founded by Therese Wirakesuma. Be moved by the artistry and spirit of these young musicians, the beneficiaries of this noble project.

In a collaborative flourish, the Bali Chamber Players will join forces with festival faculty and participants to conclude a week of exciting music-making and shared inspiration. Don’t miss this joyous celebration of music, community, and the future of chamber music!
