"MAGIC OF CHOPIN"

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine yourself in a comfortable chair in the middle of a concert hall, where nothing disturbs peace except the harmonious sound of the works of the great composer Frédéric Chopin. The only light source is directed at the piano and the hands of the maestro, who creates the magic of music and mindset. Each subsequent note, merging with the previous one, gives you shivers, the soul’s healing and releasing from the shackles of reality.

So, we are pleased to continue the unique cycle of piano concerts-transformations “Magic of Chopin” performed by the world-class pianist Pavel Artemiev, finalist of the Russian National Music Award in the Kremlin, winner of the A. Scriabin Award.

The uniqueness of this concept, implemented for the first time in the world right here in Bali, is due to the unusual circular arrangement of guests seating with a piano in the center and absolute silence (lack of applause) throughout the program. This approach makes it possible to create the deepest contact of listeners with the music and the general atmosphere, as well as to preserve the acoustic’s integrity.

In addition to silence, all light sources are turned off during the performance, except for the central soffit and several candles, so that each listener can immerse deeper into the music and concentrate on own feelings, a state close to meditation.

The second concert will feature a new program from the works of Frédéric Chopin: two Impromptus, including the famous Impromptu-Fantasy in C-sharp minor, a cycle of 6 etudes, including the famous “Revolutionary” etude, incredibly beautiful nocturnes opus 27 No. 1 and 2 and, of course, one of the most heartfelt works in the world piano classics, a storehouse of philosophy and meanings Ballade No. 4, in F minor.
