The Contact Jam Basics Workshop

In this workshop, we will:

• Explore step-by-step tips and tricks to take the stress and guesswork out of contact improvisation
• Playfully drill the most essential embodiment techniques you need to know 
• Integrate your new skills in a mini contact improv dance jam

This is for you if:

• You are new to the contact dance scene and want to develop your skills in a safe, nonjudgemental space
• You have gone to a few jams and feel awkward or confused about whether you are doing it "right"
• You have been going to contact improv jams regularly and want to unlock new skills and have more fun

• Sunday, January 29th
• 11:00 am-3:00 pm

Wear & Bring:

• Comfortable loose-fitting clothes that ideally cover your elbows and knees
• Knee pads are highly recommended (a few pairs will be available for sale at the workshop)
