DJEMBE IMMERSION – LEVEL 2
Deepen your journey into the art of West African drumming.
This workshop is designed for those who already have some experience with the djembe and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

Join Catur Hari Wijaya for 4 sessions of intensive training, culminating in a live performance.

✓ Refine your technical skills — improve precision, endurance, tone quality, and hand coordination.
✓ Learn a traditional West African rhythm in 6:8, a time signature often linked to ritual and trance, in contrast to the more celebratory 4:4 rhythms.
✓ Explore the interplay of djembe and dundun in the authentic ensemble setting.
✓ Deepen your connection to the cultural and spiritual roots of this powerful instrument.

The sessions run over 4 days — 4 classes of 2 hours each
A total of 8 hours of instruction + final performance.
