Foundation Certificate in Kundalini Yoga & Breathwork
Foundation Certificate in Kundalini Yoga & Breathwork
Date : Tuesday - Friday, October 27th - 30th
Time : 18:00pm - 20.00 pm
Cost : IDR 3.5 Million
Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness: a complete system that combines breath, movement, sound and meditation to strengthen the nervous system, balance the glandular system and build emotional and mental resilience.
Over four evenings, you will learn how a Kundalini Yoga class is structured and why each element matters, from tuning in and pranayama (breathwork) to kriya, deep relaxation and meditation. Each evening explores a different part of the energetic system, moving upward through the chakras: from grounding and safety, through the heart and voice, to intuition and the aura.
Every session combines clear teaching with guided practice and closes with a crystal bowl sound integration. You will finish with a solid understanding of the foundations, practical breath and meditation tools for everyday life, and the confidence to continue a personal practice at home.
Who Is This Training For:
Beginners - all levels welcome (suitable for those wanting to strengthen their foundations). No Previous experience required.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explain what Kundalini Yoga is, how it works with the body, mind energy. Know the structure of a class: tuning in, warm-ups, kriya, deep relaxation, meditation and closing.
- Practice core pranayama techniques safely, including long deep breathing, Breath of Fire and alternate nostril breathing and more.
* Use mantra, mudra and the body locks (bandhas), and understand how they direct energy.
* Describe the chakra system and how each energy centre relates to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
* Build and maintain a simple daily personal practice (sadhana) at home
Training Structure:
- Day 1: Foundations, Breath & Mantra
What Kundalini Yoga is: the science of combining breath, movement, sound and meditation.
How a class is structured, what a kriya is, what tuning in means and why we warm up.
Core pranayama: long deep breathing, Breath of Fire and alternate nostril breathing.
Guided warm-ups and a foundational kriya.
Kirtan Kriya (Sa Ta Na Ma), one of the most important meditations in Kundalini Yoga, taught and explained.
Closing crystal bowl sound integration.
- Day 2: The Lower Triangle: Grounding, Safety & Releasing Fear
Chakras 1–3: stability, creativity and willpower.
How prana and apana meet at the navel centre, and the role of the body locks (mulbandh).
A kriya for the lower triangle to strengthen the nervous system and release fear held in the body.
A meditation for calm, safety and trust.
Closing crystal bowl sound integration
- Day 3: The Heart & the Voice: Emotional Balance & Authentic Expression
Chakras 4–5: the heart as the bridge between the lower and upper chakras, and the magnetic field.
How energy moves from the navel, through the heart, to the throat.
A heart-centred kriya for emotional balance and self-love.
A mantra meditation for the throat chakra and clear, truthful expression.
Closing crystal bowl sound integration.
- Day 4: The Upper Triangle & the Aura: Intuition, Neutral Mind & Radiance
Chakras 6–8: intuition, the neutral mind, higher awareness and the aura.
A kriya to strengthen and balance the aura, and a meditation for the neutral mind.
Building a personal daily practice (sadhana) to take home.
Closing crystal bowl sound bath and certificate presentation.
Teaching Method:
Each evening follows the classical Kundalini Yoga class structure, so students learn the format by experiencing it:
– About 30 minutes of teaching and discussion: the theory and the "why" behind each technique.
– About 75 minutes of guided practice: tuning in, warm-ups, kriya, deep relaxation and meditation.
– About 15 minutes of crystal bowl sound integration.
Follow-Up Support for Students
After the training, students are invited into a 40-day practice group on WhatsApp. Forty days is the traditional length of a Kundalini Yoga sadhana (personal practice), and it is how a new habit becomes part of daily life.
In the group I share a daily practice, answer questions and check in on progress, so students have support while they build their practice at home. Students also receive digital handouts of everything taught during the four evenings.
Contraindications
Kundalini Yoga is safe for beginners, and modifications are offered throughout. Participants should tell the trainer before class if any of the following apply:
– Pregnancy: avoid Breath of Fire, strong locks and intense abdominal work; medical approval recommended.
– Menstruation: Breath of Fire and a strong root lock can be replaced with long deep breathing, especially on heavier days.
– High or low blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy or a history of stroke: avoid breath retention and Breath of Fire, and practise gently.
– Recent surgery or injury (particularly back, neck, knees or abdomen): modify or skip postures.
– Glaucoma or other eye conditions: avoid inverted postures.
– Significant mental health conditions: strong breath and meditation practices can bring up intense emotions, so please consult a health professional first.
Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and rest whenever needed. This training is not a substitute for
medical or psychological treatment.
Every technique is demonstrated and taught step by step, with modifications for all bodies and levels. The emphasis is
on breath over effort and awareness over performance. Sessions include group sharing, reflection and Q&A, and
students receive a handout each evening so they can continue the practices at home.
