Hidden World Fairytales is a sound voyage, where each piece is a wordless tale, composed by Andrew Axenov during his travels across cultures and landscapes of our planet. His unique sound emerges from the fusion of bowed guitar, guitar percussion, and synthesizers — guiding the listener into a world where feeling matters more than form.  These melodies, born in the moment and ever-unfolding, often surprise even their creator — and in that raw honesty, they touch the listener’s heart. Andrew Axenov - guitar virtuoso and composer with a unique technique of bowed guitar, who pushes boundaries of his instrument and combines it with live electronic music to create soulful instrumental music full of passionate improvisations, blasts of percussive fingerstyle techniques and beautiful melodies inspired by classical and ethnic music from all over the world.

 

A journey that began in the jungles of Koh Phangan has taken Andrew from intimate performances in Thailand to some of the world’s most iconic stages. From the famous venues of Nomade Tulum, Soho House Istanbul, and Scorpios Bodrum to the serene deserts of Saudi Arabia, his music has resonated with audiences from the USA, Europe, Australia, Mexico, Guatemala, Russia, and beyond.

 

In 2024, after collaborating with Eduardo Castillo in Turkey and Mexico, Andrew’s sound evolved further. Drawing from these experiences, he developed his signature style — a unique blend of innovative and exotic guitar techniques (like use of a special bow and guitar percussion) and the rich textures of synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. His music creates an immersive and dynamic atmosphere that bridges the organic and electronic worlds.
