24 hours tour to Kawah Ijen volcano
Get ready to travel to another planet. It will be an unrivaled adventure to a unique place on Earth. Imagine that you are ascending under the starry sky to the crater of a volcano, and then descend, watching the mesmerizing blue flames above a sulfur mine. Imagine standing at the world's largest volcanic lake, meeting an amazing sunrise inside the volcano! You will remember these moments for the rest of your life! Also a nice bonus will be waiting for you after visiting the volcano: a wonderful homemade breakfast in the house of a Javanese family.
Part 1 - Transfer to Java
We start our journey in the afternoon in a comfortable car or mini bus from Bali. After a few hours of driving, we take a ferry to Java and continue our journey through the Javanese expanses. Around midnight we will arrive at the Kawah Ijena base camp, meet the guides, go through a briefing, get flashlights, respirators, gloves and, if necessary, warm outerwear.
Part 2 - Night hike
Our ascent will begin around 1 am. Experienced guides lead us along the mountain road under the starry sky. The hike can take one and a half to two hours, and here we are at the top of a volcanic crater.
Part 3 - Descent into the crater of the volcano
Once you get to the top, the most exciting part begins. In complete darkness, with the help of guides, you descend into the crater of an active volcano to see a truly breathtaking natural phenomenon - “blue lights”.
The sun rises around 5 am and you will see a stunning landscape with the largest acid lake in the world.
Relax and enjoy the surreal scene as you watch the sunrise, the stunning turquoise lake, and the workers carrying huge baskets of sulfur on their shoulders up the rim of the crater.
Part 4 - Landscapes on the way back
Approximately 6-7 hours after the start of the ascent, we return to the base camp, admiring the beauties of active and already dormant volcanoes.
Part 5 - Breakfast and return to Bali
Full of unique impressions and the energy of volcanoes, we return to Bali. Breakfast with a Javanese family, a short nap in the car, a ferry ride and around 6 pm we finally reach the place where we started our incredible journey.
We guarantee that you will be physically tired, but believe me, it will pass quickly, but unforgettable memories from what you see will remain with you for life.
