Live at Klymax: Patras
Drawing inspiration from legendary UK and US acts such as The Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, and The Zombies, Patras pays tribute to the swinging spirit of the 1960s and 1970s while reinterpreting it through a cool, contemporary lens. Across their debut album, “Cha Cha Boo!”, the Jakarta-based quartet blends psychedelic rock with a diverse range of influences, including Latin music, rock and roll, surf rock, baroque pop, and classic pop.
Developed over six months across three key phases, “Cha Cha Boo!” began life as a series of demo sketches in late 2024, before evolving into fifteen possible songs through jam sessions, spontaneous songwriting and a series of workshops. From there, Patras distilled the material into the ten sublime songs that make up the album. In the process, they captured their canonical sound, a sonic representation of their identity as an unassuming yet dynamic ensemble.
Focused on finding the perfect sounds during their journey, Patras enlisted an elite cast of fellow musicians while recording “Cha Cha Boo!”, such as Adra Karim (organ), Raka Soetrisno (trumpet), Narendra Nasharudin (orchestral composition), Nino Bukir (percussion) and Raka Ramadhani (backing vocals). The result is a richly textured listening experience that stands confidently on its own while honouring the past.
To celebrate the recent release of “Cha Cha Boo!”, Patras will be joining us inside Klymax Discotheque for a very special live performance on Friday, 17 July 2026.
