We all know that yoga is much more than just standing on our hands or contorting our bodies in extreme positions. Nevertheless, the challenges and insights that a vigorous but fun practice can offer remain a very powerful tool to connect body and mind and gain more confidence and self esteem which are both stepping stones towards self realization. During my personal journey I ventured in acrobatics, circus and martial arts not only to learn new ways to connect body and mind but mostly to face all my inner blocks and limits. If you think you can’t do a handstand or a deep back bend this workshop is for you! If you have reached a plateau in your asanas and you wish to enter the next level, you are welcome to join.... with a focus on strength conditioning, handstand (all levels) and flexibility we will open new possibilities through various exercises that will empower both body and mind... ending with yoga nidra to nurture our inner spaces.

Nino Mendes originally from France, Nino’s yoga journey began in 2004 when he was introduced to his guru, Sri Dharma Mittra, in New York City. With affiliation to movement his entire life, yoga was not a foreign concept, and he readily recognized that the benefits were beyond physical. After three years of daily practice with Sri Dharma Mittra, Nino completed his teacher training, he began traveling internationally to teach, study and share yoga. In 2012, he moved to China to learn martial arts and fortunately, took the Shanghai yoga scene by storm, inspiring students and teachers alike with his unique flow sequence, synchronous soundtracks and uplifting energy. Nino is an expert in challenging students to break their plateau and reach the next level. He believes the only limit is in our minds and yoga practice is the only path to awaken the sleeping soul and reach our full potential – the true Self. When he is not on tour or teaching, you will find him in a hotel room practicing yoga, studying anatomy in a coffee shop or creating music on the beach. | www.ninoyoga.com
