A 2-hour journey of the senses using African Dance, Rhythm, Song & Wisdom to ground and reconnect you to your roots.

African Roots is steeped in acknowledging the ancestors who came before you. It is said that if you heal yourself, you heal your whole Ancestral lineage both past and future.

In Africa, music, storytelling, chanting, & dancing are all ancient ways to connect to yourself, your roots and to purify your mind, body, and spirit in a contagiously joyful and uplifting way. When we sweat our prayers and dance, the doors of the cage which has held our hearts hostage fly open and spontaneously heal and move us forward.

Malaika MaVeena Darville of Jamaican/British Ancestry set out on a quest many moons ago to discover her roots- what unfolded was an incredible Spiritual journey in Africa over 17 years, discovering the power of Ancestry and using dance as a portal to connect to the unseen realms and heal your lineage, so we the living may dance in eternal gratitude for all those who came before us.

Please bring something to put on the altar that represents your ROOTS as we dance to reclaim our power and connection. This workshop will be held once a month and you don't want to miss it!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Malaika MaVeena Darville is a spiritual teacher of Jamaican/British ancestry.

She has spent over 17 years in Africa, exploring healing and expression through dance, ceremony and accessing the unseen realms of ancestral connection.
