What is it?

Social Meditation is a group practice that extends the traditional technique of internal mindful noting into an interactive social and verbal approach.

We sit in a circle and either take it in turns to verbalize our mindful notes or spontaneously say them into the collective consciousness as we feel compelled.

There is no need for participants to have prior meditation experience, this is a great way to try meditation for the first time.

What does it do?

Social Noting Meditation is a practice that fosters social cohesion. It illuminates the connection we have with each other while using that social charge as a catalyst for deeper self-exploration.

It provides the chance to realize through experience just how profound and infinitely valuable the simple presence of another person is. 

This unifying, connecting and empathizing activity helps us to discover and create new practices of kindness and humility to move our collective psyche forward and make our world and planet happier and healthier. 

How can you use it?

Social meditation is an amazing tool that I use at the heart of my creative processes. When we deeply connect and express together in this way a wonderful group cohesion appears so the individual expressions seem to come direct from the group’s collaborative consciousness. 

Embodying and creating from this place is the fundamental intention of all my work.

Where did it come from?
