This fascination, along with a bit of old Irish wanderlust, poised me for a journey that led me to seek lost culture and reconnect with the songs of my ancestors in ancient Europe.”

Each one of us is gifted with a uniquely beautiful voice, offering our true embodied expression.

In this 3-hour workshop with Peia, we will explore simple tools to reveal & support your natural voice and unlock the natural resonance of your voice, learn to direct sound, and move it through the body as well as through the room.
 

Through her signature embodied practice, Peia will guide you in learning to harness the power of your breath, deepen and expand your breath capacity, and sing from your core.

Working with tools from the ancient Indian alchemy of Raga we enter a deeply meditative practice known as ‘The Yoga of Sound.’

We also gain a deeper understanding of the physical workings of the voice from Vocal Pedagogy (the science of the voice) and learn to sing with grace, power, flexibility, and ease.

The first part of this workshop focuses on vocal embodiment and cultivation tools while the second part implements the tools via learning of a song from the Celtic tradition.

Open to all levels, no prior singing experience is necessary.
