Sūkira

Rooted in the mystical teachings of Sufism, the name Sūkira comes from the word Sukr (سکر), which signifies spiritual intoxication—a transcendent state of unity with the Divine. Through the practice of Zikr, a Sufi meditation that harmonizes chanting, breath, and movement, Sūkira channels this mystical energy into a deep house experience.

Sūkira’s music transcends boundaries, blending ancient Middle Eastern melodies, Saharan rhythms, and Indian influences with cutting-edge electronic beats. The result is a sacred, uplifting, and ecstatic soundscape that moves the body, mind, and soul.

The ensemble is a collaboration led by:

• Paskal Suraj: A globe-trotting luminary and member of the Sufi Qawwali group Fanna-Fi-Allah, bringing mastery of the oud, bouzouki, and his powerful voice. His life’s journey has been dedicated to exploring the most resonant and sacred music from across the world.
• Walkerji: A producer and musical alchemist whose deep roots in sacred music and meditation shape the electronic dimension of Sūkira’s sound. With a storied career that spans Berlin’s underground club scene to intentional music spaces worldwide, Walkerji’s visionary productions bridge tradition and innovation.

Together, Sūkira collaborates with a global network of masterful musicians, each steeped in the traditions of Middle Eastern, Sufi, Saharan, and Indian music, creating bespoke performances that resonate deeply with the soul.

Lumina

Joining Sūkira is Lumina, a collective of extraordinary musicians whose evocative performances create a visceral connection to the spiritual and emotional core of music. The ensemble includes talents such as Sayora Musaeva, S. Baptiste, Shamanic Catharsis, Ferry Rahman, and Abink, weaving diverse influences into their vibrant sound.
