Together We Can
In light of Mental Health Awareness Month Kinship Studio & Movement of Recovery present ‘Together We Can’ - a fund-raising event to increase awareness for mental health services in Bali & further break down stigmas surrounding mental health.
Over an evening of music, story telling, art & food the event will provide points of contact for those struggling and supporting loved ones, as well as open conversations around mental health. For many, it’s a topic that is not discussed openly and access to these services are limited and unknown to many Indonesian’s and as well as foreigners.
‘Together we can’ will raise awareness & much needed funds for Mental Health services available in Bali, and allow a chance to hear the stories and missions from Movement of Recovery and the L.I.S.A suicide prevention helpline. There will also be an opportunity to hear from a panel of the other organisations involved in Bali Bersama Bisa, followed by a Q&A.
The evening will involve connecting communities, and hearing the stories of individuals journey through their own mental health as they share their stories through music, spoken word & storytelling.
A silent action will take place over the evening, donating 100% of the funds to the 11 NGOs under Bali Bersama Bisa. The raised funds will be used to ensure that the L.I.S.A suicide prevention helpline is operational and going towards the Crisis unit, managed by MOR and Yayasan Teman Baik Nusantara (the stabilization arm).
Live music by NoizeKilla & di JoyFullSound
Door sales will be available on the evening.
