Our main priority on this trip is to show you the amazing beauty and unusual natural phenomena of the best volcanoes located in the eastern part of Java.

Moreover, we also hope that you awaken your adventurous spirit and invite you to experience an experience full of beauty, emotion and delight.

Upon your return, we guarantee that you will be physically tired, but this will quickly pass, leaving only pleasure and vivid memories for the rest of your life.

For 3 days and 2 nights, you will have the opportunity to see typical Javanese villages, coffee plantations, taste traditional local cuisine and admire the incredible beauty around you.

Day 1

Departure from South Bali at 5 pm, four hours drive to the west of the island: Ubud, Bedugul Munduk, Seririt, Pemuteran. Arrival at Gilimanuk, a port in the west of Bali, from where ferries leave for the island of Java.

Ferry crossing - 1 hour

For safety reasons, you cannot stay in the car during the crossing. You can leave your belongings in the car and the driver will take care of them.

Attention: in Java, the time zone changes (- 1 hour). If it's 10 pm in Bali, then it's 9 pm in Java.

After an hour and a half drive through the Javanese forests and coffee plantations, we arrive at the base camp of Kawah Ijen, (Paltuding) 1900 m above sea level. During the transfer, try to rest or sleep to gain strength before climbing.

Day 2

At around 1:00 am, our professional guide (Ari, Poor or one of the five Indotravelteam guides) will take you to the top of the Kawah Ijen Crater. Total ascent time: 1 hour 30 minutes, of which one hour of ascent is quite athletic.

After climbing the volcano - descent into the crater (only in case of favorable weather conditions and depending on the smoke). Here you will discover a unique phenomenon - blue lights, and after that.. Dawn over the world's largest acid lake.

So, you are in the very center of the crater, which is also a sulfur mine where workers extract sulfur. You will see with what diligence and courage the locals work, who live only on the extraction of sulfur (used for cosmetic and pharmaceutical purposes).

After these magical moments, return to the base camp where breakfast will be waiting for you..

After breakfast we set off towards Bromo.

Arrival at the village of Bromo (2300 m above sea level). Here you will have dinner at a warung (traditional Indonesian restaurant) and overnight in a simple but clean guest house with hot water. WARNING nights can be very cold.

Day 3

Departure at 3:30 am by jeep with our driver/guide. Arrival at the observation deck "King Kong" at the top of the Tengger volcano. Sunrise with a view of all the volcanoes of the area:

Bromo, active, 2300 m above sea level.
Batok, inactive, 2400 m above sea level.
Semeru, sleeping 3670 m above sea level.

After dawn, a jeep trip to the foot of the Bromo volcano. Climbing to the top of the crater.

Upon returning to the village, we will have a hearty breakfast before returning.

From the port of Gilimanuk (Bali) we arrive at our first meeting point in Seminyak (4 hours drive), where our adventure ends.

Important information

The temperature in the vicinity of volcanoes ranges from +2 to +25 degrees, so we strongly recommend that you think about your comfort in advance.

You will need a pair of comfortable walking boots or trainers, a warm scarf, extra socks, an extra T-shirt, hat, and ear plugs. You will also need toiletries.
At the Bromo base camp you will be offered a large selection of hats made of natural wool - this hat will be a great gift for yourself and a souvenir from Bromo.
Additional items needed to climb Kawah Ijen will be provided free of charge: masks, gloves, flashlights. If necessary, we will provide you with warm jackets and raincoats.
If desired, medical insurance is issued independently and separately.
No additional costs during the trip, except for your personal needs and tips for drivers and guides (optional).
During all trips, our team is guided by the principles of safety, and we reserve the right to act at our discretion and appropriately in case of unforeseen situations that may arise already during the trip.
In the event of an eruption or the risk of a volcanic eruption, or for any other unpredictable and uncontrollable natural causes, decisions on the further actions of the group are made by the team members or the team management. The cost of the trip, in this case, is not compensated.
